چکیده
. This study was performed to investigate the effect of replacing alfalfa hay by L. leucocephala leaves in proportions 25, 50 and 100% on vitro gas production (GP) parameter, digestibility situ degradability buffalo. Results showed that volume GP at 2 12 hours after incubation significantly affected with leaves. In organic matter (OMD) differed between treatment as it declined increasing substitution rate from 25 100%. The microbial crude protein (MCP) treatments greatest 589 599 mg g-1 dry (DM) when replaced 50%. DM (IVDMD) increased 50% replacement rate. Moreover, substituting had a significant parameters. insoluble but potentially degradable fraction (B) potential (A+B) for contain effective (ED) different dietary leucocephala. conclusion, can substitute buffalo rations without rumen efficiency.

متن کاملEffect of Adding Whey and L. Buchneri to Alfalfa Silage on In Vitro Gas Production and Degradability
Ensiling alfalfa is difficult due to some restrictions such as low water soluble carbohydrate concentration and high buffering capacity. This study was conducted to document the effects of supplementation of alfalfa silage with fresh whey and bacterial additive on gas production, dry matter, organic matter and crude protein degradabilities by in vitro method. Experimental treatments included th...
متن کاملLeaf-closing substance in Leucaena leucocephala.
Potassium (2R,3R)-2,3,4-trihydroxy-2-methylbutanoate (1) was identified as a leaf-closing substance in the nyctinastic plant, Leucaena leucocephala. Compound 1 showed strong leaf-closing activity toward L. leucocephala and was not effective against other nyctinastic plants. The potassium ion was indispensable for the bioactivity of 1. Compound 1 gradually lost its bioactivity because of the exc...
